Axios reported that U.S. Representative Rob Latta of Ohio, a ranking member on the House Energy and Commerce’s technology and communications subcommittee, is bringing back to the House floor a bill that he said would help make the United States the leader in the manufacture of autonomous vehicles.
Today, people are driving less because they are either working from home, or they have been furloughed or laid off. A recent report from iSeeCars showed that the average price for a used car during the month of August increased 4.1% over the previous month. Last month’s average price was $23,705, compared to $22,764 in July.
A member survey conducted by Consumer Reports listed the top 10 older cars with the most problems. Although the CR article states that many of today’s cars can go 200,000 miles before any major repairs are needed, those surveyed experienced faulty transmissions, engines and head gaskets before hitting that milestone.
